Saint Luke’s- San Lucas Food Pantry

Our Pantry had a modest beginning during the fall season of 2007, when we served  about ten families per month and relied solely on donations from those who attended services at St. Luke’s-San Lucas. At the present, the average number of individuals served each month is about 800 and keeps growing.

We provide, free of cost, mostly non-perishable food by appointment. We distribute food only on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.  Appoinments are given only in person at the church (201 Washington Avenue, Chelsea) on Saturdays from 12 to 1 pm.

We rely heavily on the Greater Boston Food Bank for food, and are glad to accept private & corporate donations. If you would like to make a donation, either in-kind or financial please phone Fr. Edgar at (617)884-3300 or e-mail him at Vicarsanlucas@aol.com . Please, write your checks to: St. Luke's-San Lucas Episcopal Church  For: Food Pantry.

This program is operated by our Food Pantry Coordinator Jose Iraheta, along with volunteers from our St. Luke's-San Lucas Church, Epiphany Episcopal Church from Winchester, and non-affiliated ones. If you want to sign up to volunteer on Saturdays, please call Father Edgar at (617)884-4278.
